Once again these holidays we boarded a plane bound for Melbourne. But this time was the last time it would be a "visit". In December, we will be boarding the plane to move there. It's a thought that I'm still trying to get my head around. I am excited, but saddened at the same time. Melbourne is so different to Perth. It's always buzzing, chaotic, rowdy and all different kinds of cool. Sometimes too cool. Perth is hushed, gentle, comfortable and tranquil. I am overwhelmed by the Melbourne lifestyle each time I go back and even more so knowing that that is what I am returning to. But I've made peace with that.
I managed to take a handful of shots during our visit. Some around the city and some in the less-chaotic country. It was a fabulous week visiting family and friends, some old and some new and although I am daunted by the near-coming move, knowing that these amazing people are there too makes my heart content.
I love photo 6. Harry is the cat of my good friend Jo. Although I'm allergic to cats this little guy was too hard not to 'aww' over and continually wanted to play crazy cat around her house. And photo 8- that's my Mumma G, working her wonders in the kitchen serving up one of her mouth-watering meals. Boy I can't wait to be closer to her home!
